In this video, Anne Marie Fetter, APRN, discusses the connection between obesity and risk of COVID-19.

As Fetter explains, patients with excess weight often have comorbid conditions, such as heart disease, diabetes and sleep apnea, which combined with COVID-19, poses a larger risk of severe illness. Also, chronic diseases can reduce the body's immune response and increase the risk of COVID-19 infection. Watch the video to learn more.
