Our surgical oncologists specialize in minimally invasive gynecologic cancer surgeries, which results in a faster and more comfortable recovery.

For example, laparoscopic surgery uses tiny tools inserted into the body through a thin, lighted tube (laparoscope). The procedure can be used to check for certain conditions and remove tissues. We can also treat gynecologic cancer with the da Vinci^® Surgical System, which enables us to operate on hard-to-reach tumors, and HIPEC (hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy), which combines cancer surgery, chemotherapy and heat into a single procedure to destroy cancer cells in the abdomen.
