Annual Community Events

Linden Oaks hosts community programs throughout the year to raise awareness of mental health issues and provide support to the community.

Eating Disorder Candlelight Vigil presented by Linden Oaks

Each year, Linden Oaks hosts an annual Candlelight Vigil for those affected by eating disorders. The event is held in the Healing Garden of Linden Oaks Behavioral Health, on the campus of Edward Hospital. Nearly 300 people attend the event, which is held to help motivate and encourage recovery, provide support for families, commemorate those who have lost their lives, and recognize those who have recovered and survived.

Fundraising Gala

Bi-annually, Linden Oaks hosts a fundraising gala benefiting mental health causes in our community. Past galas include Music and the Mind, a lecture-recital by Juilliard-trained concert pianist and Harvard-educated psychiatrist Dr. Richard Kogan. His performance explores the impact of psychological factors and psychiatric illness on the creative output of important classical composers including George Gershwin (1898-1937), Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827) and Frédéric Chopin (1810-1849).
