Our goal is to make every moment you spend at Edward Hospital as comfortable and stress-free as possible. This mindset dates back to 1991, when Edward became the first hospital in Illinois to offer all private rooms. In the years since, we've introduced more innovations in comfort, like space for family to spend the night, peaceful healing gardens, and a pediatric ER designed with a fun nautical theme.

Nationally-recognized nursing program

As a patient at Edward, you are cared for by an expert medical team, including nationally-recognized nurses. In 2005, Edward became the first hospital serving DuPage and Will counties to earn Magnet Recognition®, the ultimate credential for excellence in nursing. Edward was re-designated in 2010 and again in 2014. Only seven percent of the nation's 6,000 hospitals are recognized as Magnet facilities by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).
