Summer Camp

Kids ages 5-11, will enjoy swimming, arts and crafts, organized gym games: dodgeball, volleyball, soccer and basketball, physical fitness, radical relays, martial arts and field trips on Fridays. Campers should bring their swimming suits, a change of clothes, water bottle, sack lunch and a snack daily.

Hapkido

Hapkido is a self-defense art teaching of how to use an opponent’s energy against them to off balance and control your opponent. Utilizing joint-locks, pressure points, throws, strikes and emphasizing proper technique, falling, and self-control, this class is great for children and parents to take together. Feel better knowing your kids are confident and safe wherever they go. Age: 12+

Teen/adult class, Teen/parent class 11 & under with a black belt, younger children are recommended to take the children's tae kwon do class. This class is instructed by Jason Cielo.

Adaptive Parkinson's Yoga

More Parkinson’s patients are turning to alternative therapies like yoga to increase their overall quality of life. Yoga represents a non-pharmacologic approach and research on the benefits of yoga showed improvements in mobility, balance, strength, flexibility, mood and sleep.

This weekly offering will include yoga postures, breath techniques, and guided visualization to support those who live with Parkinson’s disease or other chronic progressive movement disorders. The class will be led by Adrienne Ann Ilseman, CYT, who became passionate about the field.

LINE ‘EM UP

Join Steve Carlson in this hour of country line dancing to move your way into shape. If you have always wanted to learn how to dance and shake up your exercise routine, this is your time! Steve will provide you with all the dances you will need to feel confident enough to put on your cowboy boots and move to the beat.

SUN SALUTATIONS YOGA

A yoga practice in the summer emphasizes warming with dynamic movements and inversions. This session with Stacey Kokes will increase your circulation and raise your spirits through invigorating and rhythmic sequences. This class is recommended for people with at least 6 months of experience with yoga.

AQUA FUNCTIONAL FITNESS

Certified professionals will lead a one-hour aqua group exercise classes with activities to help increase joint flexibility, range of motion, and balance. This class will also increase your aerobic conditioning and your strength, pushing your limits, but maintaining proper form. This class is held in our therapy pool where our soothing 90-degree warm water will help increase your mobility.

Vinyasa Yoga Teacher Training with Rolf Gates

Learn how to design and lead a Vinyasa Yoga class in this 200 hour teaching session. Participants will learn the basic techniques of Asana, Meditation and Pranyama (Breathwork). They will also learn the therapeutic alignment principles of Yoga, how to find alignment within and without and more.

Workshops

Gong Meditation with Bowls

Experience sound therapy and the guided gong meditation at its finest. Marian & Gabriela’s gong concert provides a unique path to a real and deep transformation that goes from matter to essence in a Body-Mind-Essence trajectory that is rooted in physical awareness, understanding, deep transformation and culminates in the essential experience. The sound immersion is generated by the vibrational and mystical characteristics of the couples’ three large gongs, four Burmese whirling gongs (KeeZees), tuning forks, several authentic Himalayan singing bowls and additional sound tools. For your comfort, bring blankets, pillows and wear warm loose clothing.

EARTH GONG BATH

Infuse yourself in sound – join us for this intensive immersion into a transformative experience of physical and spiritual healing. This unforgettable experiential event will soothe, inspire and awaken your spirit. Practitioner Richard Rudis creates transformational waves of sound bathing you with the rising and falling rhythms, tonalities and vibrations of a huge Earth Gong tuned to the sound of AUM-the Universal Chord.

FREE YOUR SHOULDERS

Julie Groves, RYT will guide you through this workshop. Explore yoga poses (asanas) designed to create more freedom in the areas of the shoulders, upper back, neck and chest. These areas of the body hold a great deal of tension. Open the gateway to the heart by freeing the shoulders. All levels welcome.

ROLL AND RELEASE FOAM ROLLER

By applying pressure to specific points on your body you are able to aid in the recovery of muscles and assist in returning them to normal function. Normal function means your muscles are elastic, healthy, and ready to perform at a moment’s notice. This instructional hands-on workshop teaching proper use of foam rollers and balls to help relieve tight muscles, tension and more.
