Julie Brown, CNM, MSN, APRN, a certified nurse midwife, has joined Midwifery & Women’s Health of Elmhurst Clinic.

Brown earned her Master of Nursing in Midwifery from the University of Illinois, Chicago. She is a member of the American College of Nurse Midwives.
Brown’s clinical interests include adolescent and teen medicine, childbirth, contraception, gynecology, holistic medicine, menstrual problems, obstetrics, sexually transmitted disease, trauma informed gynecologic and reproductive healthcare, perinatal mental health and women’s health.
The midwives at Elmhurst Clinic practice evidence-based and holistic care using a model of shared decision-making and informed consent. They support personal choices in birth so patients can take control of their birthing experience, instead of letting the experience happen to them.
