For serious, life-threatening injuries and illnesses

24/7 board-certified trauma care and full hospital technology for chest pain, severe abdominal pain, stroke/neurological issues, severe unexplained pain of any type, serious illnesses and injuries. We have three ER locations ready to help and we treat all ages. If a medical problem is life-threatening, call 911 immediately.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT WHEN I VISIT?

When you arrive at one of our walk-in care locations, you will be treated by board-certified providers on a first come, first served basis. If you check-in prior to coming here using On My Way, your wait time may be less.

Occasionally, there may be patients with more severe symptoms who need to be seen before less urgent cases, which may require you to wait a little longer.

WHAT SHOULD I BRING?

Bring the following items with you when visiting one of our walk-in care locations:

A copy of your most recent insurance card
Driver’s license or state-issued photo ID
Names and dosages of any prescription or over-the-counter medications you are currently taking

NorthShore – Edward-Elmhurst Hospitals Earn A’s in Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades Six of NorthShore – Edward-Elmhurst Health’s (NS-EEH) seven eligible hospitals have received an A in the Fall 2023 Hospital Safety Grades from The Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit watchdog that sets standards for excellence in patient care: Edward Hospital (Naperville), Elmhurst Hospital, NorthShore Evanston Hospital, NorthShore Glenbrook Hospital, NorthShore Highland Park Hospital and Northwest Community Hospital (Arlington Heights). Swedish Hospital (Chicago) earned a B.
