Commemorative/memorial giving

A commemorative gift is a meaningful way to remember a loved one. Celebrate a birthday, anniversary or other milestone, or honor the memory of a special person by supporting an important cause at Edward Hospital.

When you make a commemorative gift, the Edward Foundation will contact the person or family you are honoring on your behalf.

Commemorative giving includes:

Memorials

Memorial gifts are a thoughtful way to remember a loved one. Gifts may be designated for a specific program or area of the hospital, or you may wish to establish a memorial fund to which others can contribute in memory of an individual.

Gifts can also be made in recognition of a special occasion, such as a birthday, anniversary, graduation or other milestone. Acknowledgments will be sent to the person whose achievement you are honoring.

To make a memorial gift, use the Memorials Form or call or email Edward Foundation at 630-527-3954 to discuss the lasting impact of your memorial/honorary gifts.

Cradle Club

The birth of your baby will change your life forever. You can commemorate this momentous occasion by making a contribution to the Edward Cradle Club. Your contribution will be used to support continued excellence in women’s and children's services at Edward Hospital.

You will receive an etched laminate footprint with your baby's name, footprint and date of birth encased in a beautiful 3x5 inch double frame with a place for your baby's picture. You’ll also receive an acrylic holiday ornament medallion with your baby’s name, footprint and birth date. A replica plastic medallion footprint will be displayed through your baby's first birthday on the Cradle Club wall located in the Women and Children's area of Edward Hospital.

To join the Cradle Club, complete the Cradle Club Form. This program is open to you for three months after your baby's birth. Please allow 4-6 weeks for delivery of your footprint package. For more information, call or email Edward Foundation at 630-527-3954.

SHARE program/Wings of Hope Angel Garden

The SHARE program is a local and national organization that serves and supports those touched by the loss of a child through miscarriage, stillbirth and early infant death.

One way families can commemorate their child is with a memorial feature for the Wings of Hope Angel Garden that was created by SHARE mothers in partnership with the Edward Foundation in 2010.
