StrokeShare at Edward Hospital

A support group to help stroke survivors and their families adjust to the new changes in their lives. The group strives to help you create a more meaningful life by sharing questions, concerns and experiences. The group meets the third Wednesday of every month, from 7:15 p.m. - 8:15 p.m.

STARS: Stroke Treatment and Resource Support

A monthly meeting for stroke survivors, family members and caregivers. Each meeting begins with a brief educational program followed by time for discussion and group support.

The group meets from 3 - 4:30 p.m. at Elmhurst Hospital, 155 E. Brush Hill Road, Arboretum Conference Center, Maple Room. Please park in the green parking lot on the East side of the hospital. Come in the East entrance and take the elevators to the lower level conference center, Maple Room. For more information please call 331-221-0293.

CARS: Concussion, Access, Resource and Support

This group provides support for individuals who have experienced a concussion and their families. Meetings include education and discussion that provides an opportunity for attendees to collaborate by sharing experiences, strategies and concerns as well as offering support to one another. 

Meets the second Wednesday of each month from 7-8 pm at the IMED building, 1331 W. 75th St. in Naperville.

Meetings will be held in the conference room on the main level. Attendees can park in the lot in front of the main entrance. The conference room is located to the left of the elevators.

Parkinson's Disease Support Group

Meets every fourth Thursday of each month
1-2:30 pm
Elmhurst Hospital
Third Floor Family Lounge

This support group provides a forum for individuals with Parkinson's, family members, spouses, and caregivers to:

  • Exchange practical information
  • Share experiences
  • Access health and wellness information

The group also aims to educate the community and raise awareness about the disease. Physicians from the Elmhurst Neuroscience Institute, hospital leadership and clinicians will represent the hospital. Joel Morris, former Superintendent of Schools for Elmhurst District 205 and a Parkinson’s patient will facilitate the group. For questions, e-mail Joel Morris at

Directions: Guests should park in the Blue or Green lot and enter through the Hospital Main Entrance. Take the Main Elevator to the third floor. The family lounge is across from the elevator.
