Conflict of Interest Policy

Edward-Elmhurst Health is committed to promoting the scientific integrity of clinical research, and the rights and welfare of clinical research participants, by establishing, monitoring and enforcing policies and processes for the disclosure, evaluation and management of potential or actual conflicts of interest on the part of individuals involved in the design, conduct and reporting of clinical research at Edward-Elmhurst Health.

Edward-Elmhurst Health has two policies to ensure the rights and welfare of research participants and the integrity of clinical research is protected from the bias that may come from a Financial Conflict of Interest and to comply with applicable regulations of the Public Health Service ("PHS") of the Department of Health and Human Services and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. The  Investigator Conflicts of Interest in Clinical Research policy addresses Conflict of Interest training and disclosure requirements. The System Conflict of Interest policy addresses acceptable and prohibited activities as well as the process under which disclosures are evaluated.
