Edward-Elmhurst Health, in partnership with the C.W. Avery Family YMCA, is proud to offer on-site physical therapy to both YMCA members and the community at 15129 Wallin Drive in Plainfield.
Edward-Elmhurst Health Physical Therapy may be accessed through a separate entrance on the north side of the YMCA building or through its Wellness Center (to the left of the weightlifting area). You do not need to be a member of the YMCA to use this service.
Commonly treated diagnoses include joint pain (hip, knee, shoulder), back and neck pain, sport injuries, post-operative care, and balance or gait disorders.
Services include:
- Joint and tissue mobilization and manipulation
- Strengthening
- Mobility and stability training
- Tool-based manipulation
- Blood-flow restriction for post-operative care
- Orthopedic and sports screenings by appointment
What to expect
When you call to schedule your appointment, we will obtain insurance approval and provide you with the number of visits allowed and give you an estimate of your out-of-pocket cost per visit.
During your first appointment, we perform a thorough evaluation from which we develop a personalized care plan. Our therapists will also work closely with your care provider, employer, coaches, and trainers to make your overall care seamless and to keep you performing optimally.
