I believe Family Medicine is a partnership between the patient and myself. This relationship involves listening and education by both the patient and myself. When we work together as a team, we both benefit. By emphasizing the physical, emotional, psychological aspects in my patient's life, an appropriate plan of care can be created.

Dr. Semkiu was very thorough, took the time to listen to all of my medical history in order to make decisions on next steps. She is very pleasant to talk with & I felt very much at ease. It has been a long time that I had a Dr like this!

There is so much to be said about my doctor. She took me in as her patient after I was dropped by .... From day one, this woman leveled with me, expressed immediate interest and concern regarding my issue. Long story short, because of my this doctor, I am able to accept my diagnosis and continue living my life. Additionally, I completed my educational goals with her by my side - keeping me healthy! What a great doctor she is!
