As an Advanced Practice Nurse, I educate patients and their families to assist them through the chemotherapy experience. I work collaboratively with the Oncology team in order to coordinate care and minimize the effects of treatment and symptoms of illness to improve the patient's quality of life. Once the treatment is complete, I work with the patient on follow-up care and develop the survivorship plan.
