As a neurosurgeon, I believe that care has to be tailored to each patient's unique situation, to ensure the best possible return of quality of life. Just as important, is the ability to provide the most up-to-date, evidence-based care to my patients. The best medicine occurs at the intersection of science and human experience. I appreciate the substantial scientific advances neurosurgery continues to make, but I get the greatest fulfillment seeing patients return to a better quality of life after surgery.
