Zahab S. Ahsan, MD, is a board-certified Orthopaedic surgeon with advanced fellowship-training in Sports Medicine and Shoulder Surgery. He has devoted his educational career to mastering the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries and is committed to guiding his patients to a complete recovery and a life without pain or restrictions through innovative treatment and minimally invasive arthroscopic surgery of the knee, shoulder, and elbow.
Dr. Ahsan completed residency training in Orthopaedic surgery at the prestigious University of Washington and Harborview Medical Centers in Seattle, WA. He continued his fellowship training in Shoulder Surgery and Sports Medicine at the world-renowned Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS) in New York City, annually recognized by U.S. News and World Report as the #1 Hospital for Orthopaedic Surgery.
Dr. Ahsan’s high level of patient care is guided by his experience of providing sports medicine care to professional athletes of the NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, MLS, and U.S. Olympic team. He currently serves on the medical team for Chicago Fire FC (MLS). In addition, Dr. Ahsan has been recognized as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor and Chicago Magazine Top Orthopaedic specialist annually since 2023.
Dr. Ahsan is passionate about treating active individuals of all ages and backgrounds.
