Campaign Against Cancer
Everyone knows someone — a family member, a friend or acquaintance — whose life has been touched by cancer.
Half of all men and one-third of all women in the U.S. will develop cancer during their lifetimes, according to the American Cancer Society. And, cancer is no less of a problem right here in DuPage and Will counties. Last year alone, Edward Cancer Center facilitated more than 56,000 patient visits.
Edward Cancer Center is reaching capacity
In the last two years Edward has seen a 35.2 percent increase in medical oncology patients at its Naperville campus and a 10 percent increase in infusion therapy treatments. Edward needs to expand the Cancer Center in Naperville to keep up with current demand, future projections and accommodate programs and services desperately needed by our patients.
Making room to save lives
Because cancer services are so important to our community, the Edward Foundation is conducting the Campaign Against Cancer to help make this expansion possible. Your contribution will give more people with cancer in your neighborhood access to innovative cancer services.
Upon completion in the spring of 2018, the multiphase expansion of the Edward Cancer Center in Naperville will include:
- 34 infusion bays to include private treatment bays and a new central infusion nursing station
- 20 exam rooms to provide more space for patient care
- A larger waiting area to more comfortably accommodate patients and their families
Investing in quality cancer care
Join us in continuing to save the lives of loved ones and to aggressively treat cancer. We all know someone who has been touched by cancer. Your gift to expand cancer services will help keep these much needed services close to home for so many in our community.
