Levels of care

After your initial assessment is complete, the Linden Oaks Behavioral Health care team will work with you to decide on the level of care that can best meet your needs and help you achieve your goals and return to your daily life and normal level of functioning.

Level of care means the intensity, complexity, structure and support provided in the treatment setting. In behavioral health, there are 3 main levels of care:

  • Inpatient
  • Outpatient which includes: Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP), Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP), Medication Management/Psychiatry, Counseling, and Support Groups

Inpatient

Adolescents, adults and older adults who are experiencing severe, complex, rare and or chronic behavioral health issues such as depressionaddiction or an eating disorder may be referred to inpatient psychiatric treatment. These issues will be severely affecting their daily life and functioning in relationships, work/school and the community.

During inpatient treatment, the individual stays at Linden Oaks Behavioral Health and is closely cared for as we work toward long-term recovery. Each day includes time with therapists, psychiatrists and other mental health associates in a structured environment with safety monitoring. Treatment may also include group-based programming and family therapy.
