A heart scan, a CT scan of the heart, is the safest and most accurate screening tool for detecting the early build-up of calcium in the coronary arteries, the most common cause of heart disease.

What makes our screening different?

  • It's comprehensive. You’ll receive other important tests as well as the heart CT scan — all in one appointment — including cholesterol, glucose, BMI and a blood pressure check. A board-certified cardiologist or radiologist will interpret the results.
  • It's personalized. You’re treated like a person, not a patient. After your screening, a cardiac nurse will provide a personal, one-on-one consultation to review your risk factors and discuss your preliminary results, as well as any next steps.
  • It's convenient. Schedule your $75 heart scan* online 24/7 or call 630-527-2800 to make an appointment at one of four locations in Elmhurst, Lombard, Naperville or Plainfield.

Who should have a heart scan?

Men, ages 40 and over, and women, ages 45 and over, who have risk factors for heart disease may benefit from this screening.

If you are experiencing symptoms such as chest pain or shortness of breath, have had a previous cardiac event, angioplasty or open heart surgery, a heart scan isn’t for you. Call 911 if you think you’re experiencing a heart attack.

*This screening is self-pay. Payment is due at the time of service.

Please, get a heart scan, no matter how healthy you think you are. It could save your life, like it did mine.
