What separates a Go for It winner from a semi-finalist?

Go for It winners will be those ideas that represent small scale process improvements that are easy to implement and do not require significant resources to implement. Semi-finalist ideas will be those likely to require more development and resources to implement, and have the potential for broad impact and future growth.

I have not yet fully developed a final product or solution; can I still apply to the idea lab?

Yes! And we encourage it. We welcome ideas at any stage. Our hope is to create a culture of innovation and provide the resources necessary to develop innovative solutions. No matter what stage of your idea, we will determine its potential and fit for our program.

What are the benefits of participating in the program?

You'll receive the full support of Edward-Elmhurst Health to develop your healthcare idea — which, in some cases, includes mentoring and testing. You'll also become part of a community of peers interested in healthcare innovation and creating solutions for patient care and medicine.
