Choosing the right primary care physician or family doctor

Finding a new family doctor can be downright daunting. Where do you start?

Your first decision is what type of primary care physician (PCP) to choose.

Some may choose a family medicine physician because they want one doctor for their entire family. Others prefer choosing a pediatrician for their kids and an internist for the adults in the family. Scroll down to learn more about the different types of primary care providers.

Once you’ve chosen the type of PCP that works for you, select physicians who are conveniently located and who offer easy scheduling options.
