Most people’s associations with the word “hospital” carry a negative connotation, like “illness” or “injury.”
“Hospital” makes you think about health problems you need doctors and nurses to mend.
We’d like to change that.
Of course, at Edward-Elmhurst Health we focus on providing high-quality care and the latest, most advanced technology and techniques to help you get well.
We also focus on keeping you out of the hospital.
Frankly, we don’t want to see you in here. Our goal is to teach you how to live the healthiest life possible. We try to spread our healthy-driven wellness information to as many people as we can.
To accomplish this, we’ve found a partner with a bigger bullhorn.
Healthy Driven Chicago is the new partnership between Edward-Elmhurst Health and ABC 7 Chicago.
Every month our medical experts will be featured in videos and articles posted on the Healthy Driven Chicago website. Those same articles and videos will be pushed out on multiple social media channels, our own as well as ABC 7 Chicago’s.
In fact, please take a moment to follow Healthy Driven Chicago on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. While you’re at it, follow our system accounts as well (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram).
Visit the Healthy Driven Chicago site to learn more about the partnership. You’ll find video segments and articles featuring EEH physicians, caregivers and senior leadership there as well as information about EEH classes and events.
Along with the website, our Healthy Driven Chicago messages will appear during commercial breaks on ABC 7 and on the ABC 7 website. Our medical experts will even appear on Windy City Live!
Over the next few months, we’ll cover the topics of depression, weight loss and heart health.
Can you see why we’re excited about this partnership?
Disease is often preventable. If you get sick, we’ll be here to help you get well. But knowledge is power, and we want to give you the power to keep yourself healthy.
Yes, Edward-Elmhurst Health is a system of hospitals. But I like to think of us as a center for wellness that puts a priority on preventing disease.
Please follow our Healthy Driven Chicago posts on social media. Find our videos on YouTube. Share the posts with your friends and followers. Let’s spread the word as far as we can!
