Edward Hospital, in Naperville, and Elmhurst Hospital, part of the Edward-Elmhurst Health system, each earned an A in The Leapfrog Group’s Fall 2019 Hospital Safety Grades.

The Leapfrog Group is a national organization committed to improving health care quality and safety for consumers and purchasers. Leapfrog uses 28 measures of publicly available hospital safety data to assign A, B, C, D or F grade twice a year to 2,600 acute-care hospitals across the country based on their performance in preventing medical errors, infections and other harms among patients in their care.
Elmhurst Hospital has also been named a Top General Hospital by The Leapfrog Group three years in a row (2016, 2017, 2018) for achievements in patient safety and quality. Edward Hospital was named a Top General Hospital by The Leapfrog Group in 2017.
