More than 1,000 people took part in SHARE’s 14th Annual “A Walk to Remember” on Saturday, Oct. 13 at the Riverwalk Grand Pavilion in downtown Naperville.
SHARE is a support group funded by the Edward Foundation for those who have experienced a miscarriage, ectopic pregnancy, stillbirth or neonatal death.
The event featured a memorial service in which the names of 310 babies were read, followed by a one-and-a-half mile walk.
Walk proceeds support SHARE’s counseling services, bereavement training and education, and the Wings of Hope Angel Garden at Edward Hospital, an outdoor space that was designed as a place where grieving parents can seek peace and comfort, as well as memorialize their child.
