Phil Cabrera has been named to the Edward Foundation Board of Trustees. Cabrera, a Naperville resident, has more than 30 years of experience in global business, corporate finance, corporate treasury and banking.
Cabrera retired as Vice President and International Treasurer of McDonald’s Corporation in Oct. 2015 after 21 years of working closely with McDonald’s subsidiaries, joint ventures, franchisees and suppliers around the world.
Since retiring from McDonald’s, Cabrera has served as an advisor and consultant to Air Products and INDURA in Santiago, Chile. He also serves on the board of directors of Byline Bancorp, Inc. and Byline Bank.
Prior to his time at McDonald’s, Cabrera was a Managing Director and Senior Partner in the Latin America Group of Continental Bank.
Cabrera holds a BA degree in business administration from Bradley University and a Master’s degree in international management with a finance concentration from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. He served in the U.S. Army in Korea.
