Edward-Elmhurst Health has named Denise Chamberlain, CPA, MAEd Chief Financial Officer (CFO). She had been serving as Interim CFO since August 2018.
Chamberlain is an experienced senior executive with extensive experience in healthcare finance, accounting and financial operations. She has extensive experience in financial turnarounds, revenue cycle management, operational efficiencies and lean management, decision support and project management.
Most recently, Chamberlain was Vice CFO and Vice President of Finance at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston Salem, North Carolina; CFO for Paradise Valley Hospital in Phoenix, Arizona and Vice President of Finance for Parkland Health and Hospital System in Dallas, Texas.
Chamberlain is a Master-trained adult educator, entrepreneur, speaker and author. She wrote the book “Money to Care: Hospital Finance for Non-Financial Hospital Leaders.” She provides education on healthcare finance topics for leaders, staff, physicians and board members.
Chamberlain earned her degree in Accounting from Purdue University and Master of Arts in Adult Education and Training from the University of Phoenix.
