Gina Sharp, Linden Oaks Behavioral Health President, recently joined the board of the Family Shelter Service in Wheaton. Through her work at Linden Oaks, Sharp has seen firsthand the effects domestic violence can have on families and by extension our community. She sees her work on this board as an opportunity to make a difference utilizing her select skills and relationships in the community.
Sharp has been actively involved in the community for a many year’s including serving three years on the board of the Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce, a term as KidsMatter in Naperville board president and through her work with National Charity League and the Young Men’s Service League alongside her children.
Family Shelter Service is an organization that provides services to help those affected by domestic violence. Services include a 24/7 Hotline for information and advice, emergency shelter, support groups, education and prevention classes, safety planning, and services for those pursuing legal action and orders of protection.
