Monica Martens, MD and Moses Tomacruz, MD, board-certified family medicine physicians, have joined Edward Medical Group’s (EMG) office on the Edward Plainfield campus at 24600 W. 127th St., Building B, Suite 100.

Since 2013, Dr. Martens worked as a primary care physician in Loves Park, Illinois with OSF Multi-Specialty Group. She received her medical degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine and completed her residency in the Adventist La Grange Memorial Hospital Family Medicine Residency program.
Dr. Martens’ clinical interests include preventive medicine, women’s health, pediatrics, diabetes, cholesterol management, anxiety and depression, and high blood pressure. She is a member of the American Medical Association, American Academy of Family Practice and Illinois Association of Family Practice.
Dr. Tomacruz was previously a primary care physician in Rockford, Illinois with OSF Multi-Specialty Group and OSF St. Anthony Hospital since 2008. He received his medical degree from St. Luke’s College of Medicine – William H. Quasha Memorial in the Philippines and completed his internship and residency at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center in Pennsylvania.
His clinical interests include cholesterol management, carpal tunnel syndrome, allergies, gout, childhood obesity, sinus problems and sleep disorders. Dr. Tomacruz is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and Illinois Academy of Family Physicians. He is fluent in Filipino and English.
