American College of Healthcare Executives honors Pam Davis with Service Award

The American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE) has honored Pam Davis, System CEO, Edward-Elmhurst Health, with its prestigious Recognition Program Service Award. The announcement was made at the 40th Chicago Health Executives Forum Annual Meeting on February 18 at the Hyatt Regency Chicago.

The ACHE Recognition Program celebrates members’ commitment to the healthcare management profession. Recognition is bestowed at three levels based on a range of specific volunteer activities that demonstrate leadership and contributions to furthering professional excellence.

Davis is System CEO for Edward-Elmhurst Health, a three-hospital system that includes Edward Hospital, Elmhurst Hospital and Linden Oaks Behavioral Health. The system has combined revenues of more than $1 billion, more than 50 locations across a service area of 1.7 million residents, nearly 7,400 employees and nearly 1,900 physicians on its medical staff. Davis is also President and CEO of Edward Hospital, a position she has held since 1988.

Davis serves as a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, Section for Health Care Systems delegate, member of Regional Policy Board 5 for the American Hospital Association and an at-large trustee on the Illinois Hospital Association’s Board of Trustees. She serves on the Boards of DuPage Regional Development Alliance and Choose DuPage, and is a member of The Chicago Network, Naperville Responds for Our Veterans, Naperville Development Partnership, Illinois Hospital Association Transforming Illinois Healthcare Task Force and 360 Youth Services Advisory Council. 

Previously, Davis served for 11 years in senior administrative positions, including Chief Operating Officer, at Christ Hospital and Medical Center in Oak Lawn. Prior to that, she served two years as Assistant Administrator of Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge. She holds a BA in Economics/Social Studies and an MA in Hospital and Health Services Administration from the University of Iowa.
