The Naperville Exchange Club presented a $50,000 check to the Care Center at Edward Hospital on March 15 as part of the Club's continuing effort to eliminate child abuse and domestic violence.
The Care Center at Edward Hospital was established in 1990 to provide medical services for children and special needs adults who may have been sexually abused. Physicians and staff employ a compassionate, empowering approach to deliver medical care that exceeds national standards. Community and professional education, expert testimony and state-of-the-art protocol development help to end abuse. The Care Center serves a nine-county area, the FBI and military bases.
The Naperville Exchange Club was chartered in 1987 and is dedicated to the elimination of child abuse and domestic violence. Through financial contributions to more than 50 local charities, the Exchange Club has raised more than $12.5 million from its service activities at Ribfest, an annual summer festival in Naperville.
