Community Investment Fund

NorthShore – Edward-Elmhurst Health (NS-EEH) is committed to helping everyone in our communities be their best. We want to partner with community organizations to invest in the health and economic growth of the communities we serve.

In 2023, the NS-EEH South Region Community Investment Fund (CIF) will distribute up to $5 million to support organizations committed to enhancing community health and well-being, advancing health equity, and supporting local economic growth through programs and projects that provide a new or expanded benefit to what currently exists.

We are now accepting applications for our 2023 Community Investment Fund

Applications must be submitted via the online application form by 11:59 p.m. on April 15, 2023 to be considered. 

To be eligible, applicants must be a: 

• 501(c)(3) organization; or
• Certified BIPOC organization, Minority Business Enterprise, Women-owned Business Enterprise, or Tribal organizations; or 
• School district 

And:

• The proposed programs/projects must primarily benefit the communities served by Edward-Elmhurst Health. 

To apply:

Step 1: Learn about the 2023 CIF program:

• Review the Community Investment Fund purpose and guidelines.
• Check the service area map and zip code list. Awards will be prioritized based on impact to the population served within these communities.
• Read the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).
• Review a recording or slides from our information sessions.

Step 2: To review the questions and to draft your responses, download the preview application. Note that you must submit via the online form (linked in step 3 below) for your proposal to be considered. The “preview applications” are available to help you prepare for your online submission:

• Preview application for new applicants 
• Preview application for 2022 awards recipients applying for an extension award 

Step 3: Submit an online application on or by 11:59 p.m. on April 15, 2023. (If you drafted responses with the preview application in step 2, merely copy and paste them into our online application form).
