Veteran Recognition Program

At Edward-Elmhurst Health, we are inspired by the strength, bravery and dedication of those who have served our country. We want to give back to those who have graciously sacrificed for us.

We’re working with members of the community, including representatives from Veterans Affairs, to learn how we can honor our veteran patients and staff. We’re doing this by:

  • Recognizing our patient veterans and creating a veteran-friendly patient experience
  • Identifying our employee veterans and providing a forum for them to collaborate
  • Educating employees on the specific health issues veterans face

We’re so grateful for our veterans, and this is our way of honoring them and saying thank you.

How does the Veteran Recognition Program work?

If you choose to participate in our program when you are admitted to one of our hospitals, you’ll be visited by one of our veteran volunteers in your patient room. One of our veteran volunteers will present you a special door hanger for your room, an American flag pin and a thank you note from our hospital president.

How can I request behavioral health assistance?

If you’re struggling and need support, or if you suspect that you might be suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), we can help. Linden Oaks Behavioral Health offers a variety of behavioral and mental health services, including inpatient and outpatient programs.

Schedule a free behavioral health assessment or call 630-305-5027 for more information.
